Kumesen Syuzo has been operational since 1952, and its primary product is Awamori. Back in 1989, though, the distillery started experimenting with whisky making in different oak barrels. In 2018, it introduced its first 20 Year Old Single Grain Whisky aged in bourbon cask also known as Kujira Ryukyu whisky.
This small batch Kujira Ryukyu Whisky is matured in bourbon barrel for more than 24 years which is made entirely of rice provides a wonderful taste profile that has distinguished itself from its malt counterparts and creates a refreshing choice for spirits lovers.

Nose: herbs, dried plum fruits hint, prune, mint candy
Palate: sweet, chocolate, vanilla, spice, light smoky woodiness
Finish: licorice, Japanese pepper, long finish
